Routine Appointments

The majority of our appointments can be booked in advance by contacting the surgery on 0161 257 3338 or at the reception desk everyday from 10.00am onwards during the week on a first come first serve basis. Although we do offer a combination of advanced booked and urgent (on the day) appointments, we only have a limited number of urgent appointments available each day, so we try to encourage patients to arrange their appointment in advance whenever possible.

Urgent / Same Day Appointments

A limited number of urgent (on the day) appointments are available each day for Acute (sudden severe illness) problems only, which can be booked either by contacting the surgery on 0161 257 3338 or at the reception desk between 8:00 and 9.00am everyday. Receptionists are trained to ask you for a brief description of your problem in order to provide the most appropriate care. In addition, the receptionist may ask you if it is something that could be dealt with over the phone and offer a telephone consultation. If the GP feels they need to see you they will ask you to come to the surgery at an allotted time. This decision lies with the GP, not the reception staff.

Online Access

You can book and cancel your appointments online. To do this you need to register with the practice and obtain a password to enable you to access this service. For registration you will be asked to provide an original photo ID (drive licence or passport etc.) at the reception desk. Once your registration account is created and activated you will be able to use the system to book and cancel appointments and request repeat medication as required. Please complete an application form to register for this service which is available at the reception desk.

Telephone Advice

Some problems can be dealt with over the phone. You can speak to the doctor for medical advice by leaving a message with reception along with you contact details. The doctor on duty will return your call.

You may also speak to the practice nurses for advice; the receptionist will take your details and the nurse will return your telephone call when she is available.
